Fall is Here

The last few months have been busy for me.  I just completed some new work to go with some existing pieces that are currently being displayed at the Park Central Hotel in San Francisco.  I want to give a big Thanks to Art and Steve for the assistance in getting the pieces hung.  Took some time to get all 12 up but they are done and it looks great!  Next up is the Annual SF Open Studios event, where I will be at Fort Mason in the General's Residence this year.

Here are some photos from the Park Central Hotel Exhibit:

This piece is Hot Cup of Lava, and its behind the Bell Desk as you enter the Hotel.  Next, if you go towards the elevators, you will find Inner Arches.  This was an interesting piece as its been sitting waiting for exhibit for awhile.  It was supposed to go into another Hotel but they didn't have the space for it.  But it was luck that brought this piece to the Park Central Hotel.  The elevator landing has black and white tile, along with a lot of right angles from the woodwork framing the bank of elevators.  This piece works perfectly in that spot, complimenting the black and white of the tile while providing some curvature to all those right angles.

Next, if you cross over to the other side of the Lobby, you will find the Orchids.  Here I have Electric Orchid, which has been on display at two previous locations and a new one, Ice Orchid.  The Ice Orchid is an abstract which showcases the orchid flower with cool, darker tones in the background.

In the Lobby area, I placed a variation of Mirror Spiral with Sun Spiral.  The Lobby area itself has dark wood for the walls and floor.  Thus a real need for pops of color that will lighten up the area.  Sun Spiral is hung horizontally, versus vertically for Mirror Spiral.  Sun Spiral is just what this area needed.

Opposite Sun Spiral are two new pieces, Sip of Lava and Drink of Youth.  Their colors blend an compliment each other.  Sip of Lava is a play off of Hot Cup of Lava which is hung adjacent to this area behind the Bell Desk.

Next up is the Maso Room, which is the bar for Park Central Hotel.  Here I placed two new pieces as well that continue the abstract drink theme: Drink of Illusion and Drink of Decadence.

Finally, in the buffet room to the back of Maso Room, are three pieces that I had previously displayed at Bimma Loft.  The Sunset on Bay Bridge, City Burning Sunset and Red Sunset over the City.

If you are in the area, take a moment to check them out at Park Central Hotel in San Francisco.  They really look good in the Hotel, giving it pops of color, warmth and a vibrancy throughout the space.
